Ms. Silver, Science
Welcome parents! My name is Ms. Monroe, and this is my 8th year teaching Science and 5th year at CASA. What I love most about teaching science is being able to engage students in hands-on projects and having students learn by doing. In science, students are able to explore the world around them and make connections in exciting ways. One thing I am passionate about is the environment and ways we impact the world. I incorporate real world skills in the classroom while making connections to the environment as we explore physical science. In 6th grade, we will learn about energy, forces and motion, chemistry, electricity, and sustainability. Students will be challenged to think like scientists and engineers as we ask questions, carry out investigations, collect data, analyze results, construct arguments, and communicate information. I look forward to collaborating with you to help your child grow as a problem solver and critical thinker.
