During the 2022-2023 school year, our CASA 8th-graders participated in PBL (project-based learning) in their ELA (English Language Arts) and HWL (Heritage World Language) classes. To deepen their understanding of narrative writing and family cultures, they interviewed family members about important life milestones and family traditions, and then turned those interviews into stories and children's books. Here are some highlights of the work they did.
